This notice explains what the Zemen Bet Ethiopia guide does with data when you read it. The guide is an independent editorial site: it publishes information about a bookmaker, it does not take bets, does not hold player balances and has no access to any betting account.
We run no advertising network, no analytics profile of you by name and no newsletter. The only data that reaches us is the technical record every web server keeps, plus whatever you choose to type into an email.
1. Who is responsible for this notice
The publisher of this guide is responsible for the data described below. Write to hello@zemen-bet.bet for anything in this notice, including a request to see, correct or erase what we hold. We answer from the same address.
The bookmaker described in the guide, Zemen Sport Betting Plc, is a separate company and a separate controller. Its handling of account data is governed by its own documents, not by this notice.
2. What we collect
- Server log data — IP address, date and time, the address requested, HTTP status, referring address and browser user-agent string. Written automatically by the web server for every request.
- Email correspondence — the address you write from and the content of your message, if you contact us.
- Nothing else. No registration, no account, no payment data, no uploaded documents. We never ask for identity papers; if you are asked for them, you are on the operator’s own site, not here.
3. Why we process it
Log data keeps the site running and defensible: diagnosing errors, measuring load, and identifying automated abuse such as scraping and credential probes. Email is processed to answer you. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not score or segment readers.
4. Legal basis
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to a reader, the basis for log data is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Article 6(1)(f)), and the basis for correspondence is our legitimate interest in replying, or the performance of a request you initiated. We rely on consent only where this notice says so explicitly, and at present it does not.
5. Cookies and local storage
This guide sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies of its own. The pages carry no third-party advertising tags. A security cookie may be set by our network provider to tell a human visitor from an automated one; it carries no reading history and is not used for marketing.
Blocking cookies in your browser does not degrade the guide. There is no login, so nothing depends on a session being remembered.
6. Outbound links
Links marked as going to the bookmaker leave this site. Once you follow one, you are on infrastructure we do not own and this notice stops applying. The destination may set its own cookies and keep its own logs. Read its privacy document before opening an account.
7. Who else sees the data
- Hosting and network providers — they operate the servers and the content delivery layer and process log data on our instructions.
- Email provider — it carries and stores the correspondence.
- Authorities — only where a law obliges us, and only to the extent obliged.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act this means there is no sale or share to opt out of; the request is moot rather than refused.
8. International transfers
The servers and the delivery network that carry this guide sit outside Ethiopia, so reading it involves a transfer of log data across borders. Where EU law applies, such transfers rest on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision covering the provider in question.
9. How long we keep it
Server logs are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted or aggregated beyond recovery. Email is kept while the matter is open and for up to 24 months afterwards, so that a later question can be read in context. Nothing is kept indefinitely.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may ask us to confirm what we hold, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or send it to another provider in a portable form. Writing to us costs nothing and you do not need to give a reason for a deletion request.
Readers in the EU and EEA may also complain to their national supervisory authority. Californian residents may designate an authorised agent, and we will not treat anyone worse for exercising a right.
We reply within one month. If the request is complex we will say so before that month is out and give a new date, rather than letting the deadline pass quietly.
11. Children
Betting is for adults, and so is this guide. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly process their data. If you believe a minor has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this notice
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Substantive revisions — a new category of data, a new recipient, a longer retention period — are described in the section they affect rather than folded into a vague sentence about ongoing improvements.
